Pork Gravy

You made the pork roast, right?  Now let's make some gravy!

Golden delicious sauce for taking your pork roast to the next level and of course for those
 mashed potatoes coming up next.

Place a fine mesh sieve over a bowl and pour pork roast liquid (recipe found here) into sieve.
Press the fruit/vegetable mixture with back of spoon to release more flavor into the bowl below.

Pour liquid into sauce pan over medium heat.  Make a roux with 1 tablespoon potato starch and
2 tablespoons water.  Only add enough to thicken to your liking.  This stuff is very good at
thickening, a little will go a long way.  Add salt and pepper to taste.

Pour gravy into a serving vessel.

Enjoy!

  1. That is a really beautiful photograph - I love the contrast of the 100% curvy gravy boat with the straight lines of the counter. Cropping, color, exposure, reflections, balance - this photo drew me in. A gravy boat - go figure : )
